At Astro U.P. we may not know much about ugly sweaters, but we do know how to dress your home up with beautiful siding. Speaking of sweaters, we wanted to send you some warm fuzzies ourselves, ‘tis the season, after all. Thank you for choosing us for your windows, doors, siding, and more. We honestly couldn’t continue to do what we love to do without you!

It all started back in 1987 when Arnie & Candy Elliott bought the old Rock School and converted it into what we know today as Astro U.P. After pounding nails for over 20 years, Arnie had a dream to start his own business offering quality products at the best prices, industry expertise, and friendly service, all while making a decent living for his employees and family. Mission accomplished! Although sadly, Arnie is no longer with us, his dream lives on and we owe it all to you, so go ahead and pat yourself on the back…if you can lift your arm in that bulky sweater, that is.

All of us at Astro U.P. feel so blessed and honored to be carrying on the Elliott family tradition and wanted to share some of our holiday favorites with you.

Jennifer:  Christmas morning, 1984 and little Jennifer Elliott was so excited to see that Santa brought her a Cabbage Patch Kid! Flash forward 25 years and she was just as giddy to get pots and pans. Guess that’s the year she officially became an adult!  But don’t worry, she is still fully in touch with her inner child, and you may catch her singing “Jingle Bells” or sneaking a candy cane cookie or two but don’t worry, according to the Department of Christmas Affairs she’s still on the “nice” list.  Click Here to see if you are!

Aaron:  We think it’s rather fitting that Aaron’s favorite holiday song is “Jingle Bell Rock”.  As a child, his favorite gift was a Red Ryder BB Gun although we can’t say if it was the “official Red Ryder, carbine action, 200-shot, range model air rifle, with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time”, we are happy to report that he did not shoot his eye out!  As an adult, Aaron prefers giving over receiving and gets excited to wake up early on Christmas morning and watch the kids open gifts.

Andy:  When asked what he enjoyed most about Christmas, Andy replied, “the gathering of people” and “all the cookies”.  His favorite Christmas song is, “Step into Christmas” and a younger Andy was excited to step into Christmas with the new Sega Game Gear. The game this year, Andy is to make sure you save some of those candy cane cookies for Jennifer.

Jarod:  As a lover of the outdoors, it’s no surprise that Jared’s favorite Christmas Gifts include a snowboard, fishing gear, and socks (yes, someone actually likes getting socks). His Christmas traditions include big family meals and snacking on sugar cookies. Even though “The Grinch Theme Song” is his favorite holiday tune, he is not a mean one and you can touch him with a 39-and-a-half-foot pole, heck he may even shake your hand!

Elliot:  Getting a Christmas Tree is one of Elliot’s favorite holiday traditions, that and eating prime rib! His best gifts include fishing gear and Harley stuff. His favorite Christmas Carol is “Silent Night” and with prime rib being served we are betting it is a rather silent night because everyone is too busy enjoying the meal to talk.

Whether you’re honoring age-old traditions or starting new ones, we hope the season finds you filled with joy and happiness. From all of us at Astro U.P. in Rock, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Remember to be kind to one another, the ONLY ugly things allowed this time of year are sweaters!
